This year's race will be the 148th running of the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. The Preakness Stakes is for three-year-old thoroughbreds, and has a race distance of 1.19 miles. The event will feature seven horses competing for a prize purse of $1.5 million.
NBC and Peacock will also broadcast the final race in this year's Triple Crown: the Belmont Stakes on June 10.
