This video of a tourist dodging a plane's belly as he tried to film it landing is going viral
A video showing the terrifying moment when a plane almost hit a tourist while landing on the Caribbean island of St. Barts has gone viral.
The tourist in the video quickly ducks just as the small aircraft zooms overhead on its approach to the runway at Gustaf Airport III.
The 12-second clip was recently captured by photographer Sebastien Politano, a local resident who was trying out his new 360-degree camera, according to the Daily Mail.
Politano, 46, told the newspaper he didn't know the man in the video.
Here's a close-up look at the tourist's lucky escape:
Astonishingly, the tourist seems unfazed by the near-miss as he jumps back up and begins to take more photos of the plane.
He wasn't left unscathed, however.
"The man has felt the wheel of the aircraft touching his right hand. He has shown me the little traces," Politano said, according to the Daily Mail. "He just said, 'It hit my hand, it hit my hand.' At this time I think he doesn't realize that he is a lucky man."
Gustaf III Airport is known for its tricky landings; its runway is located between a hill and a beach, which means pilots are required to perform a steep landing over a busy road on their descent.
