The Golden Globes live stream begins soon, and we have everything you need to catch all the Barbenheimer action. You might find the viewing options are different this year as broadcasting rights have changed hands again. After a somewhat muted affair last time, there's a bit more buzz about the ceremony this year, so take some time to tune into 2024's first big event of the awards season.

Take a look at the quick links below for everything you need on how to watch the Golden Globes 2024 event on TV or online. If you're in the US, you'll find the live broadcast on CBS, or you can see it on Paramount Plus, but only if you have the Showtime bundle. If you're not in the US right now, we've checked around for some alternate options for you further down the page.

What channel is the Golden Globes on?

In the USA, you'll find it on CBS. You have a couple of options if you don't currently have access to that channel. One is signing up for a cord-cutting service like Fubo, which comes with a strong selection of cable channels and no long-term commitments - there's even a seven-day free trial. If you don't want a long list of channels and prefer a more straightforward, cheaper option, then Paramount Plus' Showtime bundle is also showing a Golden Globes live stream - grab a free trial tonight.

Australians will find the live broadcast showing on Stan. You can sign up for a free 30-day trial if you're not a member. This is our top recommendation for international viewers without local access to a broadcast, as you can use a VPN to tune in from anywhere, and we've been able to sign up to Stan with non-Australian payment methods in the past, as detailed in our Champions League live stream guide.

In the UK, Paramount Plus won't show a live stream, and neither will anyone else for some reason. Using your UK account and a VPN to access the US version won't work either, as they're basically different apps, unlike Netflix, where you can hop around at will with a VPN. However, we've heard on the grapevine that an on-demand recording might be available the day after on Paramount Plus UK, but we've not seen any official mention of this on the app, so we'd take that with a grain of salt (we'll update this article in the morning if it turns up).

A VPN is your best option if you're in the UK and set on staying up late to watch it live. You can only sign up for the US version of Paramount Plus or Fubo if you have a US payment method. Instead, we'd recommend setting your VPN to Australia and watching via Stan, as mentioned above - there's a free trial, after all. More details below.

How to watch Golden Globes live stream from anywhere

If you're not in Australia but want to check out the Stan streaming option, it's time to familiarize yourself with a VPN. Short for "virtual private network," a VPN can effectively change your device's virtual location so that it appears to be connecting from any country you want. To watch the Golden Globes, you can connect your VPN to an Australia-based server, then simply navigate to the Stan website and create an account for your free trial.

A VPN can also help encrypt your network traffic, improving overall privacy and security.
